Merry Matukonis RN has devoted her life to nutritional health.  In 1976, Merry graduated from Central Maine General Hospital School of Professional Nursing and practiced acute care nursing for 30 years. Earning a National Certification in post-anesthesia nursing in 2007.

In 2007, she was awarded status as a Certified Clinician in Whole Food Nutrition (CCWFN) after completing a Post Graduate course with High Honors, from the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health. Also in 2007, while living in Central Pennsylvania, Merry established her own Optimal Wellness practice.

By 2013, Merry became an Applied Clinical Nutritionist (ACN) through Texas Chiropractic College & Standard Process of Pennsylvania. During this time, she completed over 100 hours of Post Graduate education, in Applied Clinical Nutrition. And, completed the Platinum Program by Standard Process of Pennsylvania, and received the “Award in Recognition of her Commitment to Patient Health.”

Merry completed the Professional Level Training in Nutrition Response Testing in 2018 through Ulan Nutritional Systems. Additionally, She studied Hair mineral Analysis as a tool to evaluate intracellular minerals levels and healthy function of body systems.

Merry recently moved back to her native state of Maine and has successfully completed an Integrative Health Coach Certification Program though Epidemic Answers to help families. So many of our children’s chronic conditions can be improved through diet and lifestyle interventions.

Most parents today do not know nutrition can turn things around from despair to hope, from struggle to improved behavior.

When not caring for others Merry enjoys being active outside in nature.
